Any design project related to children is always creative and a great deal of fun! This is a new early childcare centre opening in Tauranga in June 2012. I have created the brand and a new website – www.activekids.co.nz with more to be added very soon.

As a follow up to my post in 2010 here about this topic, I have received an update via the infographic below, the figures are staggering!

This was a fun brand, blog, online store project for Sydney based company Pink Side of The Moon (love the name). Original poems are applied to greeting cards, large format canvas wall art and linen teatowels. Check out their blog here and online store.

Facebook recently introduced timeline to personal profiles, so far we’ve had the option of using timeline but soon everyone will be on it. Personally I like it, it’s like a visual diary which appeals to my design sense. However it does reveal more openly what you’ve been up to since you began your facebook journey. What do you think of it? If you need some tips on how to use it you may find this article helpful.

So…. that leads to the next question, will timeline be introduced to fan pages? It’s rumored that it will be so in order to be prepared you may want to review how you post to your fan page or business page. Timeline is more image heavy so great images take precedence, ensure you use them in your posts and of course the main image or ‘cover photo’ could be cleverly branded to add impact. Talk to me about that if or when it happens

Don’t you love the upcycling/recycling awareness that is prevalent now? This is not a trend, it’s a way of life. Sandra Forrest is a kiwi clothing designer based in Tasmania (don’t hold that against her). Her inspiration comes form days gone by and her skills have been passed down to her by her late mother (Grace). I had alot of fun creating her blog for her – www.graceofautumn.com.au. May I have many more projects like it that reach into the past to create the present.

Sarah Laurie of sarahlaurielifestyles.com has long since dreamed of having her own range of stationery. After much thought, planning and hard work her dream is now a reality and gracing nationwide Whitcoulls stores. This has been a wonderful brand and web project for huiadesign. Teena from teasebotanix came to us after some consulting time with Angela from one good idea about a re-brand. Our approach was to create something bright, fresh and clean with a sense of ‘organic’. Teena is passionate about the healing and soothing qualities of plants, herbs and mother nature.
